YOUTH GIRLS LACROSSE (Grades 3-8)

Our Youth Lacrosse Program for girls is a member of the Mid-Hudson League and we play predominantly in Orange County. We are currently running weekly clinics for registered players in the MW High School gymnasium and as the weather warms, practices will move outside to grass fields. Generally, each team will have two practices per week and one game on the weekend.

  • The 3rd/4th grade level: Basic stick skills, including cradling (carrying the ball), passing and shooting are taught. We also teach defensive positioning and offensive skills all the while maintaining a constructive and encouraging atmosphere for our players.

  • The 5th/6th grade players will accelerate through the basic skills progression quickly enabling more advanced drills. Basic offensive and defensive concepts are introduced in addition to skill development.

  • With our 7th/8th grade levels, we continue the development process. Building on the drills incorporated at the younger levels, players development and athletic ability allow for more advanced concepts and strategies to be introduced.

We have the following programs offered for youth boys and girls -

  • Spring Lacrosse Season - Season begins in November with Winter Clinics which are held in the Monroe Woodbury High School Aux gymnasium. Game scheduling begins in the Spring.
  • FREE Fall Clinics open to all - starts in September to late October
  • Summer Lacrosse Program opens up in June to August

Registration for Spring Lacrosse is now open!
